Training events
Luminis is running a series of specialised courses in both London and Arnhem. Below you will see a brief overview of each course and a link to more detail and a course registration form. Whenever possible our courses are tailored to suit the audience but please contact us to discuss a customised course if you need something more specific.
- OSGi course
- Luminis is presenting a three-day training course to give people the opportunity to get acquainted with the exciting possibilities of OSGi. Participants will learn to create service-oriented applications and work with the OSGi framework and standards. We also provide them with the tools to manage the deployment and update of the bundles they develop. The course is very ‘hands-on’, using practical exercises that give you real experience with the technology and the tools needed to work with it.
- iPhone course
- In a very short time the iPhone and the iPhone AppStore have become household names. Successful iPhone applications are now big business. This course covers the development of iPhone applications using the iPhone SDK, Objective-C and XCode. Training is based on a practical hands-on approach to developing iPhone applications and draws heavily on the real-world iPhone development experience of Luminis.
- Android course
- Despite its ‘new kid on the block’ status Google Android is already making its mark in the mobile marketplace. Using Eclipse and Java coupled with many examples this course teaches attendees how to develop Android applications and publish them in Google’s Android Market.
- UML course
- UML is the most common method used to describe object-oriented systems. This course teaches attendees how to correctly interpret UML diagrams and which UML chart type to apply in different situations. Attendees are taken from analysis though design using the Unified Process as the reference framework within which different models are applied.
